I enjoyed every minute at seafood at dawn, whilst savouring the delicious tapas dishes.Service was attentive and prompt, packed with smiles from the team. A great ambiance! Whether you choose inside or garden seating, the temperature was warm and comfortable.I recommend booking in advance due to the high demand!In summary, a delightful experience, must-visit for anyone seeking delicious food and a true taste of seaside living! After dining, you’re able to take a walk along the beach, a beautiful family day out!

Love this restaurant! Tried about 8 dishes and everything really tasty. Nice laid back atmosphere. Well priced, especiallythe oysters. Just a shame we don't live closer.

Had an incredible lunch. We shared some prawns to start and all of them were incredible! Especially recommend the hot sticky prawns, had a range for mains and everyone loved it! The portion of the linguine is insane and so delicious. The crab is so fresh and can tell they really do get them in everyday. Everyone we were served by was super friendly and especially to our dog! They had a blanket dog bowl and even a divider to keep dogs at ease! Paige and the team are really going from strength to strength and this new site is full of the same great food and perfect customer service they’ve become known for. I really can’t recommend this place enough.

Came here mid week for lunch with my husband, very easy to find and the service was brilliant.The menu and specials were explained well and really good prices.We ordered the hot and cold platters at 15 each, the lady who served us said it was a good portion as we were debating whether to get starters/nibbles, and she wasn’t wrong! The platters were huge but very high quality, drink choices were good as well and we even made room for dessertHighly recommend this restaurant! And the music choices were good as well

Fabulous and good value .6 delicious Mersea Oysters for 6. What a bargain.

We booked to visit Seafood at Dawn for lunch. The wheelchair access was good, and they placed us near the entrance to make life easier.The service was quick and friendly. They had lots of lovely dishes to choose from at reasonable prices.For starter, I had calamari followed by scallops in garlic for main. Both dishes were cooked to perfection.We treated ourselves to dessert, and I had sticky toffee pudding with custard. Again, well cooked and presented.It was a fantastic experience and will certainly return in the future.

Lovely food, such good value for money. We went for a fishy feast and that's what we got! The staff are lovely. Sit in or out, it's not a posh restaurant, but it has a lovely welcoming island feel and the fresh food speaks for itself. They cater for the fresh off the boat fish fan like my husband and the more timid cover it in bread crumbs customer like myself. I don't think you'd be disappointed.

Tonight, we had a seafood dinner at Seafood at Dawn in Mersea. We originally just went for a casual meal, completely unaware that it was their anniversary celebration. To our surprise, they were running a special promotion—just 10 per person for any seafood dinner. Of course, we couldn’t resist and made sure to try a bit of everything.Personally, I loved the prawns in a rich, dark sauce (though I have no idea what it was). My friends had their own favorites, with one really enjoying the salmon and another preferring the steamed shrimp . Everything was fresh and flavorful, making the deal even more incredible.Overall, it was an amazing find, both in terms of taste and value. We left completely satisfied and will definitely be coming back again!
